SoCozy Hush

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SoCozy. All opinions are my own and not edited by the sponsor.

I was so excited to walk into Target and find the newest line of products by SoCozy, Hush. The Hush line is formulated specifically for your littles with a sensitive scalp and skin! If you aren’t familiar with SoCozy, let me introduce you.

If you bottle over 22 years of experience and expertise about kids’ hair, you’ve got the SoCozy line of products created by Cozy Friedman, the woman who founded the first children’s hair salons in New York City. Before buzzwords like parabens and phthalates, Cozy adopted a higher standard for her products that relies on quality and integrity, not chemicals and preservatives. Today, that standard is a promise: “no nasties—ever,” and that means peace of mind.

SoCozy is So Smart, So Safe, So Easy and So Cool.

So Smart: Genius is more like it. SoCozy believes knowledge is power, which is why education is at its core—the pulse of the brand—so you’ll always find the latest advice, solutions, tips, and trends.

So Safe: No nasties in here; just good, clean, honest formulations with ingredients that perform at the highest level. SoCozy is always safe and effective, and completely non-toxic.

So Easy: Because being a parent isn’t always easy, SoCozy makes hair care that is. These simple, fun, multi-functional products streamline tub time to make styling a snap.

So Cool: Take a strand. SoCozy encourages and supports individuality. For all kids and any hair type—SoCozy’s mission is to build confidence and inspire originality.

Ruby has been the perfect test subject for each of these new products. Recently, she has decided to grow her hair out and as her hair has grown, so has her scalp sensitivity. So a huge thank you to SoCozy for addressing our sensitive kid’s scalp needs!

The Hush 2in1 Soothing Shampoo and Conditioner is love at first smell. It’s a Gentle purifying cleanser, specially formulated with sensitive skin and scalp in mind. Ru is very picky about her scents, but approves of SoCozy. Plus the bottle comes with a soft bristled brush to help pick up dirt and flakes of dead skin, eww, and it leaves Ru’s head and hair looking healthy and smelling amazing.

The Hush Sensitive Scalp Serum Balancing Treatment is a non-greasy, leave-in formula that helps calm an irritated scalp, working to stop itch and reduce dry flakes. The Serum works like a charm, I just rubbed a small amount into Ru’s scalp and it has drastically helped her dandruff situation.  Added bonus for new moms, Hush Sensitive Scalp Serum is even great for Cradle Cap! Truth be told my husband has even used it for the sensitive skin under his beard with awesome results too!

Hush Sensitive Detangler Ultra-Gentle Leave-In was the product I looked forward to the most. The only thing worse than trying to comb out your own tangled mess is trying to comb out your over emotional-trying to grow her hair out-kindergartner’s tangled mess. Ever feel like ripping your own hair out trying to comb your child’s? Me too! Now thanks to SoCozy, Ru and I can comb in peace. A few sprays on her damp hair and the comb glides through like a hot knife through butter. Thank you SoCozy, you are truly glorious.
The Hush Sensitive Styling Foam  is a Lightweight mousse that provides natural-looking hold without disrupting the balance of a sensitive scalp. This mousse provides the perfect finishing touches for your sensitive scalped little, helping reduce frizz and hard to tame hair all day. Just use a couple pumps,  style as normal,  and you are good to go! SoCozy is available at Target and offers a wide variety of haircare products.

Smartbuy Glasses

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to you that I am a little bit obsessed with designer eyewear.  Glasses, sunglasses, it really doesn’t matter, I LOVE THEM ALL! My little fashionista Ruby has followed in my footsteps and wants all my eyewear for herself too.  Good thing SmartBuyGlasses has a style for everyone in the family, free shipping, 100 day Returns, and 14 day best price guarantee. Even better, for every pair of glasses you buy SmartBuyGlasses gives a pair to someone in need with their Buy One, Give One Charity.

My new Salvatore Ferragamos!

The glasses Ruby picked out are these adorable glasses by Kenzo. Ruby loved that she received a perfect pair of glasses, AND was able to gift a pair to a child in need.

San Francisco Family Adventure

Last month Michael, Jude, Ruby & I had one of our best days adventuring together. If you noticed Ozzy’s name was missing, that isn’t an error – we left him with his Aunt & Uncle since you know, toddler.

San Francisco is my favorite city in the whole world. Since we live about 1.5 hours from SF, we visit as often as our schedules allow. Our time together is limited due to 2 busy working parents, school and life. So we decided to try to maximize our time together by trying a different route of travel with this trip, using MegaBus.com.

If you haven’t heard of MegaBus.com, it is awesome. The bus has two levels, free wi-fi, bathrooms and awesome table-seating options. The kids LOVED it.

You can also download the Megabus RIDE app on your laptop, tablets or mobile devices to choose from dozens of movies, television shows, games, music and more while riding in California.

Riders can enjoy 30 movies, 10 hours of TV shows, 50 audio books/albums and 5 games – all for free. I really liked that we didn’t have to worry about driving, and the normal 3 hours there and back we’d normally have to spend focusing on driving, traffic and stopping to pee was used to spend more time together. We taught the kids how to play Uno for the first time, it was a blast.

Upon arriving in SF, we were pretty hungry so we took the kids to one of our favorite spots, the Ferry Building. It’s full of modern, artisan restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, stores, etc. I especially liked taking the kids there because we didn’t all have to agree on one restaurant to eat from. We can grab whatever we feel like, then come together to sit and eat.

My little Cupcake Wars addicts liked Miette Patisserie the best.

After we were full from lunchtime goodness, we took Lyft over to the Aquarium of the Bay. I’ve actually never been here over my lifetime of visits to SF, so I figured it was time. The kids LOVED this place and have been talking about it ever since. Our favorite parts were the touch pool (where you can feel stingrays, etc) and watching the River Otters get fed (and do tricks, omg so cute). It’s not a very large aquarium, we only spent about 1.5-2 hours there total. It is however conveniently located adjacent to famous Pier 39, so we got to walk through there and see the shops & Sea Lions. It was raining heavily this day so we were a lot more limited on walking than we usually are, but we made the best of it.

We hadn’t planned on it, but while at Pier 39, I realized that Rainforest Cafe was just right down the street and knew the kiddos would love that place. It’s not the best food (especially in a city like San Francisco where you can dine at some of the best restaurants in the world) but it is super fun for kids.

Last stop of the day for us was to the amazing (and free) Musée Mécanique, which is one of the world’s largest (over 200) privately owned collection of coin-operated mechanical musical instruments and antique arcade machines in their original working condition. (You can play them!) Located on Pier 45 at the foot of Taylor Street in San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf. Free Admission Every Day! Michael and I have come here tons of times over the years but it was so much more fun with the kiddos.

If you want to see more of our adventure, check out this video.

What are your favorite spots to hit when traveling in San Francisco with your family? I’d love recommendations for our next trip.

XO Tiffany

Thank you MegaBus for providing us with comped tickets in exchange for feature in this post.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ozzybear!

A special thank you to Kasmira Kit for taking these fabulous family photos for us. http://www.kasmirakit.com/photography

I can’t believe my “last baby” (I have my tubes tied) is turning TWO. Time can be such an asshole! He has been going through a lot, mainly struggling to find his words. He’s started Speech Therapy and will soon begin Occupational Therapy and an evaluation with a Psychologist – just like his big brother Jude once did. We are so proud of our little buddy and I can’t wait to see how well he does with this help in 2017.

Each of my children teach me something new about myself each day that passes. A different lesson. A different trial of my patience and time management. Ozzy brings sunshine into our lives as bright as his hair. He loves to make us laugh. He loves to play pranks on me, play peek-a-boo and chase. He is obsessed with Trotro, Mickey Mouse, Dinosaurs, Cars, bubbles, playing outside and most importantly chasing the Bigs.

When Jude & Ruby are away at school, he often walks around the house yelling (just like Mama) “JUUUU!” and “RUUUUU!” hoping they are simply playing a prolonged game of hide and seek with him. When it’s time to go pick them up he claps his hands with excitement and sometimes jumps.

Last Baby is my first baby to really care about his pacifier and have comfort blankies. People say he looks just like Michael but when he’s making smug little sassy faces, I think he looks just like me.

My favorite pastime is forcing him to sit on my lap and torturing him with kisses and hugs. He pretends he hates it then as soon as I stop he asks for more. He’s just funny like that.  He is so brave – possibly too much so. He climbs the highest slide at the park just like all the big kids with a devilish grin of determination. He thinks it’s SO funny to open and close my bedroom door, poking his sweet little face in and out of the door frame. I could go on forever with all the ways this baby bring me joy. His smile makes my heart skip a beat.

We hadn’t really had a professional family photo shoot of the five of us since Ozzybear was born, so I was super thankful for these gorgeous images from Kasmira Kit. Below are some of our favorites.
