{Sponsored Post} Lane Bryant Holiday Fashion Fun Giveaway for Mamas!

‘Round these parts we are always giving away things for the kiddos. So when Lane Bryant asked me if I would be interested in giving you guys TWO $30 gift cards? I was like….umm, duh Lane Bryant. Now even if you don’t have as much junk-in-dat-trunk as me, you can still use your giftcards to buy some adorable accessories for your Holiday looks this season. Or perhaps a wonderful gift for someone else in your life? More details on how to enter the giveaway will be found at the bottom of this post.

I guess Lane Bryant is feeling the Holiday spirit, because they sent me a gift card to spend on myself as well. I was very excited to purchase a new bra for myself! I would post a photo of that, but since this blog is rated G, I’ll let you see it HERE if you so wish. I had an excellent experience on my last shopping trip to Lane Bryant, per usual. I have been blessed in the chest area and have the hardest time finding bras 1. In my size 2. That I can afford 3. That fit comfortably. I have always had success with Lane Bryant bras, since they meet and exceed all three of these requirements. The staff was helpful as ever and even took me into a dressing room to measure me in a private manner. I was able to quickly confirm my bra size with them and had a huge selection to chose from, which…never happens for me.

Although I wasn’t able to purchase everything I would have wanted to in the store, they had tons of pieces that would benefit my wardrobe, especially during the dressier holiday season. I like any excuse to dress up (surprise) so I had my eye on quite a few things. I’ve been good Santa, I swear.

{Sponsored Post} BabbaBox Projects for Littles

When our BabbaBox arrived last week, the kids & I were pretty stoked. I enjoy doing crafty stuff with the kids, but don’t do it as much as I’d like. This was a great opportunity to not only get messy with the kids, but also teach them a few things about space, science, the solar system, constellations, etc.

Each BabbaBox is a theme-based box of crafts and activities for kids ages 3-6. However Ruby is 1.5 and she really enjoyed taking part in this too. Our BabbaBox was Space themed and came with supplies for two crafts, an explore lunar calendar worksheet with binoculars and Twinkle Star of the Week book. Jude was SO excited because he has this weird thing for the moon right now. He goes through those toddler obsessive weeks and the last few weeks it’s been all about the moon up in the Reese household. “A moon, a mooon, a mooooooon Mama!” So choosing to make the Paper-Mache “Moon” Nightlight? It was a given.

My favorite thing about BabbaBox is it takes care of all the thinking and planning for you. All the supplies we needed to make our Paper-Mache Moon Nightlight were here in our box ready to go. The kids really enjoyed ripping up the paper for the paper mache. I might have had a little too much fun making glue paste. Somethings just never get old.

BabbaBox knows what kids like. Balloons? Sold.

Ruby is excited, guys.

Want to know more about BabbaBox for your family? Keep reading.

Just think! Fantastic monthly activities with ALL the materials for kids ages 3-6. Included in the box are 3 projects + 1 bestselling book + digital download + parent surprise gift!

Hyundai Santa Fe: Families Who Rock

This post is brought to you by The New Santa Fe from Hyundai. Think your family rocks?
Show us by uploading a photo of your family rocking out. Enter now for a chance to win great prizes.

When Hyundai asked me to participate in this contest I knew right away it would make a great fit! Here is a little bit about my family’s story…

It was 2002, I was 16. I was pretttttyy punk rock you guys (note: sarcasm). So punk RAWK (if you will) that I was the lead singer in an all girl punk band called PMS. I know, so embarrassing. Michael, a 17 year old curly-haired boy from the headlining punk band, Up Against Me, approached me at one of our shows while I was standing with a group of my friends. This story has long been debated between us but I’ll be fair and tell Michael’s version.

“I approached Tiffany, because I thought she was cool. I tapped her on the shoulder and complemented her dress. She whipped her hair in my face, said rudely ‘Thanks. I made it myself.’ and stormed off into the distance.” Six years later (2008) we were married.

Six point five years later we were (SURPRISE!) pregnant with our son, Jude Dylan. The power of our combined punk RAWKness must have been undeniable, because as soon as Jude exited the womb, he was ready to ROCK. Even the nurses noted, We’ve never seen a newborn with such energy! Ummm, us either. Thanks? Before Jude could even walk, he DANCED. I mean, watch out ladies, ‘cuz he about to bust a move. Shortly after Jude turned Two, we learned that our Jude was in fact extra special, he was diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder. One of the tests we had to put him through was a hearing test, where we learned that Jude actually has an extra spidey-like hearing sense! His ability to hear things extra precise explained to Michael and I why this kid loved music so much, why he loved to rock out to Yo Gabba Gabba 50 Bajillion times a day, why he was so extra awesome.

A few months later, beautiful baby Ruby Mae joined our band and we finally felt complete. Ruby not only shares Jude’s love for music and dance, but could possibly give him a run for his money. Baby girl can drop it LOW. Originally when Michael and I found out we were (SOMEONEPLEASESAVEME) pregnant with Jude, we somewhat feared that this change meant our lives were over. Little did we know, the best was yet to come.

One of the incredible things about children is getting to experience things for the first time again, through their eyes and ears. We’d be lying if we said some days we didn’t miss preforming on stage (especially when we are covered in puke and diarrhea) , but the dance parties in our living room? The sing alongs in the car? We wouldn’t trade those moments for the world.

Think your family rocks? Hyundai Santa Fe and Rolling Stone are looking for families who rock and whose values include kindness, sharing, hard work, loud singing, mud, practical jokes and mischief in general. Prizes include a photo shoot in Rolling Stone featuring the winning family shot by an industry photographer, airfare, hotel and transportation to the 55th Grammy Awards, and a fully tricked-out Hyundai Santa Fe custom rock ‘n’ roller. I know. Hurry because this contest ends December 14, 2012. To enter, visit Rolling Stone’s website.

Sponsored Post: The Honest Company

Amazing Facts to Know About The Honest Company

Honest products are not only designed to be safe and sustainable, but beautiful, fresh, and fun. Their designs are inspired by our everyday lives, modern shapes, rich colors, multi-cultural inspirations, and fashion insiders and artists like Alexander McQueen, Banksy, and Murakami.

Honest is a Certified B Corporation
A B (or benefit) Corporation is a new kind of company dedicated to making a profound social difference, safeguarding people and the planet, and making efforts to a be better business. It’s like earning a LEED or Fair Trade certification, but for a business. Honest is very proud to be an active member of the B Corp community of like-minded organizations because together they can make it better.

Charitable Giving
With every purchase you make, The Honest Company donates time, money, and product to their current charitable partner This worthy non-profit supplies families in need with essential baby gear and clothing for children up to age 12.

When The Honest Company asked me if I would be interested in checking out their products, I was truly excited. In our home, we try to integrate as many Eco-friendly products and practices as we can. We want to teach our children to be appreciative of the earth and treat it with respect. When it comes to buying for our kids, we try even harder to purchase products that protect  from harmful chemicals and unnecessary additives. In addition to caring for the environment and the safety of our children, another benefit of purchasing from The Honest Company is being a part of their charitable giving, any company that seeks to help the underprivileged is welcome in our home!

Especially when the products smell as good as these!

Let’s be honest, I’m a sucker for cute packaging.

Honest Shampoo & body wash, Honest laundry detergent, Honest Face & body lotion, Honest hand soap and Honest healing balm are the products I’ve enjoyed sampling!

My personal favorites of the Honest products so far have to be the Honest Healing Balm and Honest Face & Body lotion. I have a tendency to get extremely dry skin during the winter months. I like that these products are fragrance free because I can wear them with any perfume I desire and I don’t have to worry about the fragrance affecting my sensitive skin. Its nice to carry products in my purse that I know are safe for me and my children on the go.

Ruby Mae approves this message.

The Honest Company was started by a mom and a dad who, like many modern parents, were increasingly worried about products made with questionable chemical ingredients. But the alternatives they found were often expensive, inaccessible, bland, or ineffective. In response to this clear need for something better, they created The Honest Company to ensure that parents (or anyone for that matter!) could easily find natural and non-toxic eco-friendly products that are beautiful, effective, and affordable. From customized product bundles to diapers and wipes to an ever-expanding line of cleaning and personal care products, you can find everything you need at and have it delivered directly to your front door.
