When our BabbaBox arrived last week, the kids & I were pretty stoked. I enjoy doing crafty stuff with the kids, but don’t do it as much as I’d like. This was a great opportunity to not only get messy with the kids, but also teach them a few things about space, science, the solar system, constellations, etc.
Each BabbaBox is a theme-based box of crafts and activities for kids ages 3-6. However Ruby is 1.5 and she really enjoyed taking part in this too. Our BabbaBox was Space themed and came with supplies for two crafts, an explore lunar calendar worksheet with binoculars and Twinkle Star of the Week book. Jude was SO excited because he has this weird thing for the moon right now. He goes through those toddler obsessive weeks and the last few weeks it’s been all about the moon up in the Reese household. “A moon, a mooon, a mooooooon Mama!” So choosing to make the Paper-Mache “Moon” Nightlight? It was a given.
My favorite thing about BabbaBox is it takes care of all the thinking and planning for you. All the supplies we needed to make our Paper-Mache Moon Nightlight were here in our box ready to go. The kids really enjoyed ripping up the paper for the paper mache. I might have had a little too much fun making glue paste. Somethings just never get old.
