SoCozy now found in CVS!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SoCozy. All opinions are my own and not edited by the sponsor.

If you bottle over 20 years of experience and expertise about kids’ hair, you’ve got the SoCozy line of products created by Cozy Friedman, the woman who founded the first children’s hair salons in New York City. Before buzzwords like parabens and phthalates, Cozy adopted a higher standard for her products that relies on quality and integrity, not chemicals and preservatives.  Today, that standard is a promise: “no nasties—ever,” and that means peace of mind.

Ruby and I had way too much fun in CVS this morning. She kept saying, “THEY HAVE EVERYTHING HERE!” like it was heaven or something. The extremely friendly and helpful CVS employees and I were cracking up over her excitement. Oh to be 4 years old again.

Our love for SoCozy isn’t new and that’s because SoCozy’s brand values are something I respect:

So Smart – Genius is more like it. We believe knowledge is power, which is why education is at our core – the pulse of our brand. Advice, solutions, tips, trends – we serve as an extensive resource for moms, kids, stylists and salon owners.
So Safe – No nasties in here; just good, clean, honest formulations with ingredients that perform at the highest level. Safe and effective – and completely non-toxic – it’s great hair minus the harsh chemicals.
So Easy – Because being a parent isn’t always easy, we make haircare that is: simple, fun, multi-functional products that streamline tub time, as well as solutions targeting specific hair concerns to make styling a snap.
So Cool – Take a strand. Through our products, website, social channels and unique collaborations, we encourage and support individuality. All kids, any hair type – we make it our mission to build confidence and inspire originality. Being you is our idea of cool.

Celebrating my #Crazy8 Kids Style!

My kids are crazy. I think all kids are crazy though, right? I’m going to go with that. I love their crazy energy though! Since birth my children have allowed me to pretty much style them however I please, no questions asked. Jude did oppose a bowtie in his toddlerhood here or there but for the most part, I think they’re pretty immune to my torturing them.

That said, I try to style them in colors, themes, patterns I know they will enjoy. Ruby is a girl after my own heart, she loves glitter, pink, flowers, prints, the works. Jude is super into hats and accessories. As soon as the sunglasses go on, he starts making pouty “blue steel” faces. It cracks me up. Of course Ozzy still has no choice and will frankly be stuffed into whatever I say, but hes going to scream and try to run away from me regardless the clothing item. Its part of my cardio, getting him dressed.

If you’ve never shopped with Crazy8, they have adorable stuff! If you have shopped with them then you already know what I’m talking about.  All of the kiddos were so excited when their packages arrived from Crazy8 with new and exciting clothes!

Prepping for Holiday Fun with Famous Footwear!

Thank you to Famous Footwear for sponsoring this post!

IMG_8818

On a scale of 1 to 10, my family is an 11 when it comes to loving the holidays. I feel like even stating that should be obvious? Because what’s not to love? Family, friends, sparkling decorations, tasty food, Christmas lights, parties, presents, cute outfits?! It’s basically the season my heart was made for. Every year, when prepping for the holidays, I like to shop for a few special outfits for the kids to wear for Thanksgiving, Christmas, school holiday shows, etc. I feel less guilty spending a little extra on these special outfits when I know lots of pictures will be taken on those days. Pictures I will treasure forever. I’m very sentimental, if you haven’t gathered that by now.

I’ve been trying to think outside of the box when putting together Ruby’s holiday outfits. The traditional ruffly, sparkly, twirly dresses are great, don’t get me wrong, but I thought it would be nice to try something a little more modern this year. Thankfully, Ruby and I do not struggle over what she is going to wear yet. I have fellow Mom friends who are constantly battling with their kiddos about what to wear (“YES TO HAVE TO WEAR PANTS TODAY!”) and I sometimes find myself holding my breath thinking PLEASE DON’T TURN ON ME, RUBY. She’s great about letting me do my thing. She seems to trust me when it comes to making her look cute. I try to include her in certain aspects of her outfits by offering her certain choices and allowing her to voice her opinions. So far for us, it works out great.

A few weeks ago I was looking over Famous Footwear’s #ohsofamous style gallery, looking for some shoe-spiration and asked Ruby if anything caught her eye. If you haven’t checked this yet, #ohsofamous is a fun place to get inspiration, explore what others are wearing, and see the variety that Famous Footwear offers.  Like all basic girls, she is obsessed with boots. So we took a look at Famous Footwear’s selection for little fashionistas and oh my goodness they have so many adorable options!

Here are some of my favorite shots of Miss Ruby Mae in one of her modern holiday outfits! How cute are these boots she chose?!
